NOTTINGHAM WINTER WONDERLAND 2011

Yo Yo would like to say a big thank you to all the Yo Yo Noodle staff for all their hard work and a great weekend! If you were lucky enough to see us there and grab some noodles, we would love to hear your thoughts! Just write to us on our Facebook wall for Yo Yo Noodle.

As well as the illuminations, which Nottingham residents are calling “the best ever!”, there were choirs, dancers and other entertainers performing in the street to celebrate the opening of Nottingham’s Winter Wonderland. Families enjoyed traditional children’s rides, such as a classic carousel and the popular reindeer ride, the thrilling 60m tall North Star ride, and a huge variety of food and drink!

Yo Yo especially enjoyed the Square’s bar area, complete with a whimsical Narnia-style den, and stepped through the wardrobe to treat himself to a few cups of warm mulled wine! Wheeler Gate and Albert Street were full of shoppers, but Yo Yo managed to grab a few fun last-minute gifts at the craft stalls on Smithy Row, and enjoyed meeting the crafty stallholders and finding out how far they’d come.

Those who missed the fun should look out for the Fine Food Market, starting on the 16th of December- rumour has it they’ll be serving tradition East Midlands snacks, special teas and coffees, and regional ales… perfect for those last few Christmas presents!

The Winter Wonderland runs until 8 January 2012. If you pay a visit, make sure you stop at Yo Yo Noodle when you need to warm up- Yo Yo’s festive coffees are just the thing! Come and find us on Long Row.

YO YO NOODLE GETS A MAKEOVER

It’s a new year and a new start for Yo Yo Noodle, with the team working hard to roll out a full graphical rebrand. This month will see a few tweaks to the bright red colour-scheme we all know and love, as well as a slick new logo.

We’re trying to make your Nottingham Yo Yo Noodle just a little bit more upmarket, while keeping our old fun, friendly, feeling. The new logo, put together by illustrator Dan Day, includes a slick little “chopsticks” motif we think you’ll love, as well as crisp new text on a darker, more sophisticated shade of red.

Look out for the new colours on our packaging, our menus, and eventually in the shop-fittings themselves; you see it, we’ve rebranded it! Whether you love it, hate it, or want to let us know how you’d have done it, why not tweet about it? ALL CHANGES AT YO YO NOODLE

The Nottingham branch of Yo Yo Noodle have been looking into making some changes, including some which will affect our pricing structure. But don’t worry, we know times are hard, which is why we’re taking them down, rather than up!

Some of you told us that a full-sized box of our delicious noodles was just too much of a good thing, so there’ll also be some all-new noodle box sizes rolled out this month.

With as much crisp fresh veg as you can eat, Yo Yo Noodle is already the healthy option, but a little of what you fancy does you good, so tuck into our new snack-sized portions in a Yo Yo Noodle near you soon.

YO YO NOODLE KIDS MEAL

At Yo Yo Noodle, we’re committed to offering our customers a healthy option, and a big part of the health credentials of any meal is portion size. We’ve had feedback from customers who said that our child-sized noodle-box offered too large a portion for a child.

When we looked into it, we found that the government guidelines say that a child-sized portion of a carbohydrate-based meal like noodles should be no larger than 8oz. Our original child’s box was closer to 16! Even including the vegetable and protein content, the box was simply too big.

Clearly, something had to change. So what we’ve done is bring in a more appropriate child-sized 12oz noodle box; with roughly two ounces of veg and another two ounces of meat or seafood, that’s the perfect size.

Instead of overfacing our younger customers, we’re giving them a portion they can finish happily; good for their waistlines, and good for your wallet.

YO YO NOODLE TEAM TO OPEN FLAGSHIP STORE IN SHEFFIELD

This month Yo Yo Noodle is excited to announce the backing from the Yo Yo Group to open a 2nd pilot operation in Sheffield. The property is considered to be one of the primary locations in Sheffield.

The flagship operation will demonstrate the concepts ease of operation on a single floor. The fit out will showcase various interior design opportunities such as seating, wall graphics.

Franchisees will be able to see the full potential of the Yo Yo Noodle brand including our new wok range, machinery, signage and product range.

The operation will be an excellent 2nd option for franchisees 2 week training and other training programmes including supervisor and wok training programmes. Franchisees will benefit from learning in a set up that they will have once they open.

Members of the Yo Yo Noodle team including Darren Ho, CEO, who will be working from the upper floor at the property every day to make the property all the more special.

The property is surrounded by students, residential, night club and bars, and a short walking distance from the city’s University and College. Local businesses have been identified as a key target market and will receive discounts to drive traffic and build a strong connection with the local community.

The property has the potential to offer a delivery service to local residents within a 5 mile radius. A full investigation on how deliveries will operate are being explored. Keep your eyes out for more information!

BUILDING WORK BEGINS IN NEWCASTLE

Our Newcastle outlet is looking super! Building work has begun and Yo Yo Noodle’s exciting new rebranded interior design is beginning to unfold. The team is proud to be working with Mr Price and his family to open their very own franchised Yo Yo Noodle bar. Located in Newcastle’s busy city centre the store will not only be open early from 11am until 11pm weekdays but after midnight on weekends as the store is located right in the heart of Newcastle's bustling night life.

Yo Yo and the team will be hosting a special grand opening to celebrate and to wish Mr Price and his family a bright and successful future as a proud member of such a fantastic city.

“Grand Opening” dates will be announced in January. Don’t miss the celebration!

Big Congratulations to Mr George Vong and the opening of Yo Yo Noodle Express in Lincoln. The store opened with a boom in the centre of Lincoln this past Saturday with a special appearance from Yo Yo himself.

One Network Consulting launches its first FDI project, "YoYo Noodle India"

Founded By: Eric Ho (Chairman) and Anuradha Makhija (CEO)

YoYo Noodle India plans to create its brand presence in India through a master franchise agreement between One Network Consulting and the YoYo group. Together they are planning to open more than 200 YoYo Noodle Outlets in India over the next 5 years.
